Targeted Education

PLN strives to provide tailored, timely education for health-system pharmacists. To ensure the most valuable educational experience, PLN conducted a survey of more than 25,000 pharmacists regarding perceived educational needs. Of the over 1200 respondents, almost 20% indicated infectious disease as the area in which the most education was needed, with 15% stating that additional education regarding diabetes management would be the most useful.

Building on the data provided by practicing pharmacists, PLN has structured programs that address the most pressing educational needs in the pharmacy arena, including infection control, diabetes, and anticoagulation.

Earn 7.0 Contact Hours

Participants who attend a full-day PLN conference have the opportunity to obtain 7.0 contact hours in a specialized, interactive setting.

In order to receive credit, participants must attend a session in full and complete evaluation data relevant to each session attended. Participants may only claim credit for the sessions which they attend. For example, if a participant attends 5 of the 7 education sessions for the day, they are eligible for 5.0 contact hours.

Participants may submit their evaluation form onsite or within 2 weeks of completion of the conference by mail or fax.

Learner-Directed

Through numerous discussion opportunities, PLN expert faculty incorporate educational needs identified by session participants into the day’s education to ensure the most valuable educational experience possible.”

Participants are able to interact with the faculty via such opportunities as real-time participant polling and audience-driven question and answer sessions.
